how do you comfort them when they die?

Ruby is in some pain.  It happens if she tries to lay on her left side or stump.  It hurts her.  The bulge in huge and distends.  I’m sure you noticed it in the video, at least I hope I captured it right   She 0nly has tramad01 and gabapentin  a1s0 cepha1exin  The Vet said d0n’t give her the antibi0tic un1ess needed (?)   she isn’t crying any other time though.  Just when she tried to lay on it twice.  Other than that, I really don’t see her giving much fuss.  She finally had a bm tonight and still eating well.  She is skinny/boney.  You can tell it is eating her away inside somehow.  Such a mean, nasty disease she must have inherited.   Horrible.  I hate it.  I’m so proud of her to face all she has in the matter of what… three months almost?  wow

  1. I see you have a new picture of her in the sides of the blog…..very, very pretty!

And YAY for a bm! That alone ought to make her feel better!

I wouldn’t focus too much on the fact that she cried twice when laying on her incision. It’s probably still sore from having thst hidden staple removed, as well as the lump. And yeah, the video you posted earlier showed the size pretty well.

Guess I’m trying to say a “pain” from being “sore” isn’t a pain thats unbearable or a pain that is interfering with her quality to any great degree.

She’s probably skinny because she didn’t eat at the Vets very much and she was under stress during that stay.

The update doesn’t sound as though she’s given up at all. Two episodes of pain from her stump/lump today may have hurt briefly….but it was only briefly and then she got over it.

I have no idea what that Vet meant about giving an a antibiotic “if” needed. You aren’t seeing any bad signs of infection or gapping holes in the incision, right?

Again, if you have any questions I woukd go to Dr F and not back there. Did she EVER send him Ruby’s records….including the most recent ones from this week?? If not, I woukd still demand they be sent asap.

For now, do NOT waste one second worrying about Ruby’s future! NOW IS ALL THAT MATTERS!! And right NOW Ruby is doing well!! Shesw eating, she’s resting comfortably and RUBY IS HOME!! 🙂 A d her fur is growing back beautifully!! 🙂

So try and focus in the present and on the fact that Ruby is still hanging in there! She’s loving all the spoiling and attention and laying in the sunshine!!

Don’t focus on how much time Ruby may have left. FOCUS ON MAKING THE BEST OF WHATEVER TIME SHE HAS!!!

Ruby still has plenty of good times ahead’ That’s what you need to focus on!

Ruby is so lucky to jave you!!! She’s never been so loved before.

So wast NO time worrying about the tomorrows, Ruby sure isn’t. Just make every day THE best day just like Ruby!!

What special supper did she have tonight? It was meatloaf for breakfast, right? Imlove watching the videomof her eating so gently, but slurping so happily!! 🙂

    Love and hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
