Meet Ruby

Ruby 2yrs old, left for amputation of back left leg today.  Now the new chapter of our lives together begins…. Ruby the TriPawed Service Dog

“Ruby’s strength is everlasting. I admire her drive and loyalty. The way she howl’s woo-woo. She does this thing with her front legs. She kind of sits pretty and grabs my arms pulling me towards her. Snug in the position she likes, she crosses her paws around my wrist and holds me close. I also like how she groans every time she lays down and settles in. She’s a lucky charm with the longest tail. I enjoy her very much as she walks beside me, always so close and steady. Beautiful and quiet. She is a great communicator when she wants something. As serene as she is, she is also fierce and would protect us to death. This girl, she came into our lives as a surprise and I’m thankful for that gift of her. I have learned so much from her and with her. This cancer. I don’t know what to say. I noticed it on her immediately. It hasn’t stopped growing. Yea she’s just a dog and maybe we are fighting a losing battle, but we still live. I am amazed at her strength through this. The time is drawing close and her days are numbered….

I forgot to mention how funny she is. Like when she takes my clothes out of the dirty laundry and puts the outfit that I wore the day before on my bed or in front of my living room door, with my shoes.
