Ruby, you’re beautiful!
Hey Mum, in the second picture, is that part of her incision? It looks to be ‘different’. It’s difficult to see in the picture, but maybe someone else can see what I’m seeing? It looks sore… I’m probably wrong, I certainly don’t want to put any worry in your head, as I said, it’s difficult to see properly from the picture.
Ruby sure was happy to see her Mum wasn’t she! Such a sweetheart!
When do you hope to have her home? I’m sure she would do really good surrounded by her pack. You could probably monitor a little closer and you know her better than the vets do.
I know for my own situation, being with Stewie 24/7 for the first two weeks was a saviour. He didn’t always need medical attention, but he needed to know that we were still loving him! He needed the special feeding attention and a lot of patience and I realize that the vets have his best health interests at heart, but ultimately, they are a business that can only do so much, especially when it comes to those special words of encouragement or hugs, things that only ones own family can do. These are just my thought and I hope they help more than hinder.
Please let us know how Ruby is doing, give her special hugs from us.
Best wishes & Sloppy kisses from Stewie๐ ๐พ
& all the very best from his adoring pack,
Petra, Paul, Mr. Spike, Chester Molester & Miss Lily ๐พ๐พ๐พโค๏ธ
In the second picture I believe you are seeing the seepage. She was dripping blood like fluid. Dark red. We are waiting for that the stop and take the staples out before the Vet sends her home. She wants to avoid any problems due to me being low income and unable to afford anything else at this time for Ruby. This amputation only happened because of people donating to her gofundme campaign and the Vet refunded some money on the second culture. I still am responsible for half of the amputation bill and the two surgeries previous to this which has cost me thousands. I make less than 10k a year. VERY difficult it has been to get this all done. To avoid any emergency repeat visits, she is keeping her until the staples come out. This weekend she should be coming home and the latest will be Monday (I hope)
Awwww,Ruby is just beautiful! I love her coloring! And those ears..OMD…she’s just adoravle! ๐
My ffavorite picture is of the two of you together! I’m not sure who looks the happiest and who is smiling the biggest!!! You both just look sooooo happy!!
I never understood why surgeons feel like they have to shave so much fur! They ALL just seem a little too clipper happy! But it all grows back just fine!
Hoping she can get home real soon and just start having a “normal” recovery!!
Lots of hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
