Ruby in the cage!

This indoor enclosure is PERFECT for Ruby!!!  She needs to be restricted for the next two weeks, limited mobility.  She is resting comfortably now inside her safe place!!  So grateful my friend sent it to me to use.  Much better to have her out in the living room with all of us instead of in her tiny “rest room” I had for her.  I had to open it all the way up take her inside of it on the leash, then I locked it up.  I think she will do well in here for the next 24 hrs.  Minus getting out to potty.

  1. So glad she’s home! So glad she’s in her cage!!
I did see yiur post in the forums and others will chime in on your whole situation!

Yeah, I’m sure she is hurting and this is new tonyou since that Vet kept her two weeks originally. But whining and being restless for the first coupl of days is “normal”‘

Just makes sure she drinks and pees!!!

Popping and eating not as crucial.

    Love and hugs to you!

  2. Yay! I hope the enclosure works out to keep her quiet. Sally is right, the first two weeks of recovery can be a rolercoaster in terms of a pup’s pain levels and energy. Yup, the key is to keep her quiet as possible with on leash walks only, no rough housing with the other dogs, etc. All paws crossed this recovery goes smoothly!

  3. Awww that little sweetie. Yes, we’ve found the enclosures (aka “X-pens”) to be indispensible for our Wyatt.

Ruby looks calm and relaxed there. Keep her mellow and avoid wrasslin’ matches and hopefully she’ll be all healed up in no time at all.

We are thinking of your pack and sending lots of love your way!

  4. She must have tried to get out of the pen and ended up pushing it about five feet around the room. It kept her contained though and that is what matters. Now I have a couple days off to spend with her. I will most likely keep her confined in that area. Right now, I let her out and she is laying on the couch. She ate her dinner and took her medicines like an ole pro. The wrap has stayed on her leg just like when I picked her up, so that is going well. She isn’t yelping as much, actually not that I noticed at all this evening. I’m going to have to put some heavy objects around the pen to make sure she doesn’t push it all around the room again. So far, so good.

  5. Dear Ruby, you poor girl! You have been through so much my darling girl! Time for you to buckle down in your kennel, like a good girl and stay in bed! You need lots of rest and more rest!
Love your brothers and sisters, but you’ve got to tell them that you can’t join in their playing right now…
