I went and bought Ruby a bed and elevated food dishes. I think this will make life easier on her. It’s a nice sturdy Orthopedic double thick mattress, firm, supportive. Rather large for her size 36 x 48 x 6. I also bought some Freshpet food for her. This way she gets some tasty meals while recovering and good vitamins.
It sounds like Ruby is in good hands!! I bet you can’t wait to get her home. I look forward to hearing how she’s doing soon. We’re not to far away and only a week ahead of you in this process so I’m hear to help if you need it.
thank you!! I made Ruby a face book page. It’s called Ruby on three the celebrity. I would love to befriend you! Thanks for helping us.
Okay, sounds like Ruby must be doing better??? The bleeding stopped???? Did the Vet call younand give you a good update this morning?? When can she come home?
Sorry I know it’s a lot of questions. It’s just that younwere put through so much unnecessary stress these past couple of days, nit to mention very poor communication from the Vet!
All that matters though is that Ruby is doing better!!
Your bed sounds like a good ine. And my dogs looooove Fresh Pet! I have big dogs so I use it more as a snack or a topper. Otherwise the big bag would only last a couple of meals!
Check in when you can. We are definitely cheering for Ruby and hoping we can get her home to you soon!!! 🙂
Extra hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
That is a good idea… use it for a topper for the dogs instead of meals. I have two GSDs, one pitbull and a miniature dachshund named Pretzel. 🙂 Four Haunted Dogs. I think I will mix it with their foods and it will benefit everyone. Great Idea. Ruby will be in the hospital until the weekend of 9/10/17 or so… they want her to remain there until the staples come out to prevent any problems with the healing process. She had a blood transfusion yesterday. The Vet gave me her cell phone number and I can call anytime to check on Ruby. She doesn’t show any sign of weakness at all, ever. Such a strong baby. She is only 2 yrs. old.
