10917 Stitches to be removed

I don’t know if it is normal, but Ruby’s stump feels hot.  Kind of like the cancer tumor felt hot is what it reminds me of and it seems there might be a build up of fluid inside the stump, but I’m not a Vet and I do not know if I’m just being paranoid or what.  It almost seems like I can put my hand over this bulge.  Flashbacks to what it was like when this first occurred.  I guess the Vet will know tonight when I take her in to have the stitches taken out if it is normal or not.  I didn’t notice it like this before.  I’m venting and still worried.  I will update you all when we get home later tonight after these sutures are removed.

I took some pictures of her incision last night, but they are too big to post here.  I don’t know why that is.  Some pictures I’m able to post and others I can not.  I put them on her facebook page Ruby on three the celebrity GSD, if you would like to see them.  I will try to get a video and post it to Youtube then add it here.

  1. I’m zero help when it comes to techie stuff. You can hop over to the forums and post under Technical Support and you’ll get answers there.

This hiur ey pretty much makes us all worry and be paranoid! So welcome to the club!!

I’ve forgotten, what did the pathology report say? Was it osteosarco.a? Or another kind? And if you don’t know, just ask the Surgeon to give you a copy of the report and you can go over it with your regular Vet.

Try not to worry. I know, that’s hard! But it most likely is fluid or some scar tissue in process of forming. From your earlier video it looked like it was right along the incision line so it could certainly be fliid or scar forming. .ay also be the way the remaining miscle is “reformi g” too. May subside once all those stitches are out!!

Whatever it is, it isn’t bothering Miss Ruby! She’s feeling good and that’s a great indicator that all is well in her world!! And will even be better once thst cone is off and the stitches are gone!!

    Love and hugs!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
