So did the Vet who told you less than two weeks ago that is was “just swelling around the bone and nothing to worry about”,’now tell you it was cancer?
Did she offer a y suggestions like…Just throwing this out there…metronomics? It’s pills you give at home….almost no side effects…and not invasive at all!
I could be 100%wrong, but I think it’s helpful on sarcoma s when surgery isn’t an option. ASK DR FIPPS about it.
Ruby looooves the sunshine!!! You can tell she is so very relaxed being home!! She’s so happy to be home….And I know you are thrilled to have her back 🙂
Continue to make every day count! Ruby doesnt know she’s “sick”. Just continue to stay upbeat and positive sround her. That will help her feel better!

OMD, I can’t believe all you girls have been through! I love the picture of Ruby lying on her couch in the sun.
So, it is not clear to me, did the vet actually say that this was another cancerous tumor? Did the vet do a biopsy? Does she even know for sure or is that her “best guess”? The reason I ask is because it is my understanding (but I am NOT a vet!) that recurrence of Grade II soft tissue sarcomas treated with amputation is relatively rare. But it is certainly possible that this “new” tumor was there all along, just not detectable at the time of Ruby’s original diagnosis. In which case all bets are off. Something neither you nor the vets could have known. Cancer is just plain evil, there is no doubt about it.
I totally understand your not wanting to put Ruby through another surgery, especially with all the complications she has had so far. I am so sorry that you both have had to go through such a difficult journey. I am sure she will perk up being back home with her family!

Yes, it’s good to “be prepared” as far as whenever the transition out of her earth clotes takes place…..but CLEARLY it’s not anytime soon!!!
