an0ther day for the Rubes

P00r Ruby.  She had to poop last night and didn’t wake me up f0r it  I had t0 bathe her, the f100r and d0g bed this m0rning when I w0ke  It was ha1f and ha1f solid/loose.  She was ashamed of herself and I had to convince her that it was ok.  She never goes potty in the house, I’m sure it was an emergency.

She doesn’t run as much as she use to in the yard, but she hasn’t slowed to a walk yet.  She just tires out easier.  She is still doing well enough that I don’t think it is time yet.  With me questioning if it is the time or not, I know it isn’t time yet.  When she is ready there will be no questi0ns.  I will ask if Dr F w0u1d make a house ca11  I have three days off in a row this week to spend with her and get things done at home.

She LOVES lunch meat!  ha  She has been getting good treats and cheese!  Probably why she had loose stool.  I hope she is ok tonight when I go to work.  I will try to have someone check on her for me while I’m away.

I will post new pics once I can resize them right.

Ruby Update

Ruby is doing ok.  She is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping.  Jumps up on the bed.  I do notice that she lays down more after I take her out to the yard.  Laying down as in, stopping at the gate and laying or walking halfway to my door and laying down.  That is ok.  Her mind, eyes and spirit are still bright.  Sometimes she will show pain.  I considered putting her down tonight because I know that her tumors are growing and more are starting to pop up around her rump area.  I’m just not sure when the “right time” will be.  I know she will let me know when the time is right, so I’m kind of depending on her for that.  I just don’t want it to get to where I’m carrying her in to be put down or she starts to suffer a lot.  Just wanted to update though to let everyone know how she is.

how do you comfort them when they die?

Ruby is in some pain.  It happens if she tries to lay on her left side or stump.  It hurts her.  The bulge in huge and distends.  I’m sure you noticed it in the video, at least I hope I captured it right   She 0nly has tramad01 and gabapentin  a1s0 cepha1exin  The Vet said d0n’t give her the antibi0tic un1ess needed (?)   she isn’t crying any other time though.  Just when she tried to lay on it twice.  Other than that, I really don’t see her giving much fuss.  She finally had a bm tonight and still eating well.  She is skinny/boney.  You can tell it is eating her away inside somehow.  Such a mean, nasty disease she must have inherited.   Horrible.  I hate it.  I’m so proud of her to face all she has in the matter of what… three months almost?  wow
